Three Sisters is an installation piece that is designed to awaken our sense of warmth in frigid environments. The angled tinted orange glass evokes a false warmth through colour exploration and movement. This dynamic illumination invites pedestrians to enter varying sized spaces and participate in experiencing the intimate effects of community built warmth. As users explore the different sized cubes, they may notice how space can be used to generate warming only through heat generated by the human body. This piece is a commentary on how community size and collaboration can be used to create a desirable outcome [i.e heating].
